Privacy policy

Redstone Sol Tech Ltd, trading as Amped365 (company number 10180614, 11 Boar Lane, Leeds LS1 6EN), is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website, in the shop and when you contact us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • When you order: name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, and what you bought. Payment details are handled by Shopify Payments and our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
  • When you book a repair or call-out: name, phone, email, address and postcode, the device and the fault, and your chosen date and time.
  • When you ask for a price for your phone or contact us: name, email, phone and whatever you tell us about the device.
  • When you sell us a phone: the details above plus photo ID and the phone's IMEI, which we are required to keep as a record of the transaction.
  • When you use the site: device and browser information, IP address and cookies, collected by Shopify to run the site and by analytics tools to see how it is used.

Why we use it

To fulfil your order, repair or booking (performance of a contract); to answer your questions; to meet legal and tax obligations; to prevent fraud and check devices are not stolen; and, only if you opt in, to send you offers by email. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in the email.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts the store and processes payments; Royal Mail or the courier delivering your order; eBay or Facebook if you bought through those channels; our till and stock system (Epos Now); and WhatsApp when you choose to message us. We do not sell your information. Some of these providers process data outside the UK under approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Repairs and your data

We do not need your passcode to do most repairs and we do not look at your data. Please back up and, where you can, remove the passcode or give us a temporary one before a repair that needs the phone to be tested. Phones we buy are wiped before resale.

How long we keep it

Order, repair and purchase records for 6 years to meet tax and warranty obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to an order for 12 months. Marketing consent until you withdraw it.

Cookies

Shopify sets cookies that are needed for the basket and checkout to work. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email redstonesoltech@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
