Games Console Repair Leeds

PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch repairs in Leeds city centre. Drift, dead HDMI ports, fans like a jet engine. Bring it to 11 Boar Lane and we will diagnose it and price it before any work starts.

What we repair

  • HDMI ports, the classic no-picture fault, usually caused by a knock to the cable while it is plugged in
  • Controller drift on PlayStation and Xbox pads and on Joy-Cons, where the character moves on its own
  • Overheating and loud fans, stripped, cleaned and re-pasted. Consoles pull in a surprising amount of dust
  • Disc drives that will not take a disc, will not read one, or grind
  • Power faults, consoles that will not turn on or shut off mid-game
  • Charging ports on controllers and on the Switch dock
  • Switch screens and Joy-Con rails
  • Storage upgrades on consoles that support them

Which consoles we work on

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch including the Lite and OLED models. Controllers too, which are often worth fixing rather than replacing.

Drift is fixable

Stick drift is the single most common console repair we see, and most people replace the controller instead. It is usually a worn potentiometer or a dirty module, and it is a cheaper fix than a new pad. Bring the controller in on its own if that is all that is wrong.

How long it takes

Cleaning and controller work is often same day. HDMI port replacement is soldering work and takes longer, because it is done properly or not at all. We will give you a realistic timescale rather than a hopeful one.

Bringing it in

We are at 11 Boar Lane, Leeds, LS1 6EN, a couple of minutes from Leeds station. Bring the console and its power lead. You do not need to bring games or cables unless the fault involves them.
